How do I size my system's wiring?

How do I size my low voltage power supply?

Simply add up the total connected lamp wattage, plus an additional 10%.

What is the best wiring method to use?

Route a mainline cable in a circular fashion around the perimeter of your deck, with both ends connected at the power supply's terminals. Utilize T-connectors or Aurora's quick-connect wiring harnesses for reliable connections & less voltage drop.

How can I maximize the light output, yet keep my total system wattage low?

LED lamps draw only 1W each - most fixtures are now offered in LED as standard.

Do you carry any bulk-pack or reduced-cost post fixtures?

We do indeed discount in quantities-- please contact us for a total reduced cost if purchasing more than one fixture. However, we primarily carry the highest-quality cast aluminum and powder-coated fixtures, and have very few models available that match the low-end fixtures found at local improvement stores.

I am in Milwaukee-- can I pick up locally to save on shipping cost?

In most cases, we ship manufacturer-direct from the factory warehouse, contact us to check local stock and a reduced cost for a customer-pickup. If you are interested in seeing product in person, most products can be on hand within just a few days.

What shipping options are available?

UPS Ground shipping is included free of charge with all of our products. (In cases of small package size/weight, we will substitute USPS Priority Mail.) We ship same or next business-day via bulk UPS pickup, thus customers will experience quicker than usual UPS service. Most packages arrive within 2-3 business days. Tracking information is provided promptly the day following shipment..

Is Next-Day or Two-Day Air shipping available?

Expedited shipping options are available, and are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Note that standard shipping ends up sufficing in most cases, as local area shipments arrive next day, and cross-country shipping is typically 3-4 days at maximum.

Is sales tax added to my order?

Only within the state of Wisconsin, added to the sales price based on ship-to address. As is typical of internet sales, buyers are responsible for local taxes in the remaining (49) states.
